Mt. Everest offers northern "royal" Indian and Nepalese cuisine served in a dressed-for-dinner setting. A great place to go with a mix of vegetarians and meat lovers, the menu has plenty of delicious options highlighted in the vegetarian and non-vegetarian bhojan dinners, specials that allow diners to get a taste of Indian food beyond just chicken tandoori, though that's included too, and sample dishes like mutter paneer, dal makhani and lamb curry.

Not only good for Evanston, this place ranks in my tops of Chicago. The minty tandoori chicken Hariyali Tikka is the best in the metro.
