In 1995 Indian restaurant Khyber Pass, named for the ancient passage from Pakistan to Afghanistan, opened its doors to Oak Park residents. Eleven years later, this city location opened with a similar menu, including a variety of the dishes cooked in an Indian clay oven, or tandoor. Though this Loop location doesn’t offer a dinner buffet like the Oak Park location, large, family-style portions allow everyone to get a taste of the authentic cuisine. Order favorites such as tandoori breads, vegetable biryani and the akbari dinner (a variety of chicken entrees), and complement your meal with one of several Indian beers or a glass of wine or cocktail from the full bar.
