After 17 years at 6406 N. Oakley Avenue, Hema's relocated to 2439 W. Devon Avenue in October 2008. The new location features two tandoor ovens in the kitchen and seating for 100 in the dining room. Popular dishes include buna gosht, lamb sauteed with fresh peppers, onions, curry leaves and black pepper, and saag murg, oven-baked chicken with spinach and spices. Another favorite is shami khebab, a minced lamb and ground lentil appetizer from Hema's hometown. The service is friendly and casual, with Hema (pictured) or her family members working the dining room.
