Oberweis Dairy
5.0
Oberweis, which began as a dairy home delivery way back in 1927, and opened their first fountain shop in 1951, has now grown in a fairly large chain of shops. The combo dairy store and ice cream parlor sells milk, eggs, cottage cheese and ice cream to go, plus full fountain service with shakes, malts, hot fudge sundaes and banana splits. Oberweis buys milk from small family-owned farms that don't use any synthetic hormones to up the milk production, and they only sell cage-free eggs. In the ice cream department, the chocolate peanut butter is to die for.
