Remember the days of the neighborhood candy shop? Of course not. You've always bought your Twix at Walgreens. Fortunately, a few still exist, like this Albany Park throwback located in the middle of a residential block. With its glass counters, tiny Coca-Cola bottles and counter service, Flavors on Avers reminds us of the shop where Charlie bought his winning Wonka bar. The neighborhood sweet shop's shelves hold just about every sugary snack imaginable--from Lik-m-aid Fun Dip to Barbie bubblegum tape--and the walls are lined with more Cheetos varieties than you knew existed. Who's gobbling up all this junk? The kids from the elementary school, right across the street.

I stumbled across this hidden gem, what a cool place.A candy store something you don't see anymore,had to stay for a sandwich and ice cream

what a gem, right in the middle of the block,it takes me back in time,all the old candy,sandwiches are made right in front of you ,nice outside cafe
