My friend and i needed a quick lunch and happened to find a parking place right in front of Anthony's... we had AWESOME soups... Mike (the owner) let us sample a few different ones, and he was super friendly! Mine was the roasted tomato basil and was awesome! I didn't get a bread bowl, but wish I had! My friend was visiting from California, and had a Chicago-style hot dog there... also looked great! Check this place out!

Love this place. Love the Italian ice (best in the city). Do yourself a favor and get the peach flavor. It's incredible. The Italian beef sandwiches are excellent as well. Friendly staff, friendly atmosphere.....definite 4 stars.

Mike has done a great job with the Southport location. His Italian ice is great, and he has no problem specializing orders for the locals. The reason some of his ices have seeds is because he uses real fruit. Annette's can't hold a candle to Anthony's--hands down.

The rasberry ice was good but I could not get past all the seeds. Next time I would try a fruit flavor with out seeds. Annette's on Armitage / Bissell is much better and their rasberry ice has no seeds.
