I went to Freshii last week for lunch - it was delicious. After spending quite some time trying to design a salad and ending up with a concoction that was almost $12, I decided to try the Teriyaki burrito instead. Good choice - yum! I almost didn't believe this was healthy - it was so good and filling (double checked the nutrition values online!). Although it is a bit pricey - I'll be back for the occasional lunch when I want a treat.

So my first experience with Freshii was admittedly not the greatest. I thought maybe they were just working out some opening day issues, and decided to go back a couple of weeks ago. I was a bit skeptical at first given what happened the first time around, but my coworker really wanted to try it, so I tried to go into experience #2 with an open mind.
The line moved much quicker, but the food was still horrible. My coworker ordered a rice bowl, and I decided to try a salad. Neither of us are very picky eaters, but we couldn't even stomach what we got. She was unpleasantly surprised that the vegetables and other ingredients mixed into her warm rice were left cold (not room temperature, but cold). It made such an awkward and unexpected combination to have cold veggies on warm rice (which was one of my complaints the first time around). My salad was so unbelievably tart that I couldn't eat a single bite without puckering my mouth. The sundried tomato dressing was harsh, and the sundried tomatoes in my salad were completely unbearable. My coworker had sundried tomatoes in her bowl as well, and her sentiments were the same. Normally, both of us are huge fans of sundried tomatoes, but WOW - they were both ridiculously tart AND chewy. It was like chewing leather in my salad.
Suffice it to say, both of us were incredibly disappointed - especially because each of our dishes + drink came out to be nearly $10, and we couldn't even stomach a few bites of it. Save your money, and go somewhere else - there's a ton of other equally healthy, but more delicious places to eat nearby!!!!!

When I was hungry, I used to grab the closest thing in sight...a stale bag of chips or a rogue candy bar. But now I can forego the candy – and the guilt and head to Freshii. Like creating the perfect outfit, the menu at Freshii consists of head to toe choices and deems them either “24/7” (super healthy), “balanced” (good fats and proteins) or “splurge” (so tasty it’s only allowed in moderation). Each choice, ranging from breakfast to dinner fare, lists exact calories and nutritional information to help move customers through the meal designing process. Gawd bless you Freshii!

It's fair to say I am a bit of a food snob...I'm picky where I spend my food dollar and am always in search of great new places to eat. So along comes Freshii. I must admit I was a tad skeptical that a "fast food/casual" offering could produce great, tasty salads. After all, so many similar places get it dreadfully wrong!
On the contrary, Freshii gets full marks in all areas for me. First and foremost the food is great. I chose one of the chef select salads - one of the combos they have put together, the California Tuna Nicoise (alternatively you can build your own salad from a huge range of offerings). I opted for half the amount of dressing (I like that they've thought of things like this and cater to whims like half the amount of dressing plus a little on the side). The salad came with a piece of tasty pita bread and made for a healthy, delicious lunch.
While it was opening week and a long wait, the staff were helpful and attentive. I loved the decor, fresh bright colors and nice store fittings. Great snacks and drinks should you be so inclined....maybe treat yourself to the peanut butter pretzels to offset your healthy salad, they are delish!

Ok ever here of a Dagwood Salad? I didn't till today, and I haven't been able to stop talking about it.
Went by the new place Freshii down from my office, I almost didn't go in, because I saw there was a line. Some guy stopped an invited me in and ask if I came by yestarday, I told him no(wish I did, I heard they gave out free food!!).
So I grab this clipboard and the guy is really helpful, I was amazed by how fast this line moved. I didn't even have a chance to deside what I wanted before I realized I was next.
For some reason Dagwood Salad stood out from the rest and I went for it.
I wasn't a big salad person before, but I loved this one!
Before I left, the employee came up to me and asked me if it was what I expected, NO, much better then I could have ever imagined!
I went back to my office and all I could talk about was Freshii.
My wife is thrilled that I had a salad for lunch today and going to try a fresh bowl tomorrow.

It IS Grand Opening Week, you know! Even if it wasn't GO Week I'd wait in line for Freshii. The food was delicious especially the yoggi. The snack options were very unique and a nice diversions from your typical options. I loved the menu - you can either build your own or choose from pre-selected options. Very simple. Everything was fresh and healthy and the entire store is pretty much environmentally friendly. I definitely recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

I adore the new Freshii resturant and now it is so easy to get great tasting healthy food in the loop. The decor and ambiance were awesome, again the food was great! I highly suggest the soups. My only major complaint was the service was slow, but I assume that was because it was opening day, and it is a tad bit pricey. But all in all I will be returning for some delicous healthy food!

Today was opening day at Freshii and it was an overall wonderful experience. Although lines were long, there were very nice enthusiastic staff members everywhere to greet me and even offer samples as I waited in line. I had a custom designed salad for lunch and a "yoggi" for a mid afternoon snack. I cant say enough of how happy I am to have a healthy alternative to brown bagging it.

My first experience at Freshii was memorable, and I will be going back, although not until the opening buzz cools off because it took too long today to get my food. The decoration was visually appealing and refreshing, but the place seemed a little understaffed for the grand opening, although they all seemed happy and had a smile on their faces.
I ordered a salad and the greens were fresh and the vegetables were crisp, and the balsamic vinaigrette was great. My only problem was it was a little more expensive than I thought it would be. But I will be back to Freshii in the near future!

I was really excited to eat at Freshii after hearing about it on Daily Candy. I thought, finally - a great place to eat healthy for lunch. Many people have the misconception that healthy food has to taste bad, and Freshii did nothing to counteract that.
First of all, I spent a good 30-40 mins waiting in line. Maybe it was because they just opened or maybe it's because they were featured in Daily Candy, but a fast food place should NEVER take that long. It was clear that they did not have the staff to support a grand opening, and the behind-the-counter area seemed so cramped that the employees they did have on staff kept bumping into one another. It was chaotic and inefficient, to say the least.
The menu itself was also not only confusing, but daunting. When a giant, folder-sized pamphlet and an accompanying clipboard of options still can't answer your questions, then you know you're in trouble.
When I finally got my food, my lunch hour was pretty much over. I was hoping the food would be worth the hassle, but it was quite the opposite. I ordered a rice bowl with different toppings, one of which were supposed to be roasted potatoes. The potatoes were COLD (not room temperature, but COLD) and they seemed drenched in water. Every time I took a bite of the potato, cold water surged out of each piece. It's as if they were frozen (not "freshii") and not entirely defrosted. The sundried tomatoes were also rough and chewy, as if they hadn't soaked in water long enough to soften after being sundried. The teriyaki sauce was incredibly salty, and the "grilled" tofu was more like raw tofu straight out of the package and just cut into cold, little squares. Nothing about my meal was salvagable, and at over $10 for the meal (including a drink) and close to an hour of my time, I should've been able to get a few good bites in.
I appreciate the effort in trying to get Americans to eat healthy, but it was an effort gone horribly wrong, and I don't plan on going back or recommending it to anyone else!
