They are constantly changing the menu. Why? I think they have lost touch with
the core of what made them a great place at one time--- a place to have a healthy balanced meal . The current menu parallels vegetarian eating with many starches, cheeses and vegetables as the last thought. My husband ordered the macrobiotic plate, and there were two huge mounds of rice, squash and you had to search for the greens and beans on the plate--not very balanced as the plate implies. I made the mistake of ordering wine here for the first time, a very small pour and obviously a bottle that had been open for quite a while. What a shame. What used to be a great restaurant to fall back on has now fallen off our radar. There are too many choices now(thank god) to have to eat bad vegetarian food.

Have tried Blind Faith over the years a half dozen times. Except for their breakfast selections, which are not strictly vegetarian, the food is mediocre to poor. There are wonderful examples of what great vegetarian food can be on the grocers shelves rather than paying for the same old rather bland offerings at Blind Faith. I do hope they update because the space has a warm ambiance and pleasant staff and potential to be a fine 21st century sample of veggie delights. They seem stuck with tasteless fare circa 1970.

I went to Blind Faith Cafe today for the first time. I'm not a vegetarian, but if there were more restaurants like this, I would highly consider it! We started with the Santa Fe salad that had barbequed seitan. First time having seitan and I loved it. The Mongolian stir fry was also pretty good and I loved my Eggplant special. The dessert menu had so many choices that it took forever to decide what I wanted to try. I don't know how many calories were in my berry cobbler but it was delicious! I am a huge new fan.

This is where I hang out with my vegan friends. Many great entrees--but it's the desserts that rock. Try the chocolate vegan cake.
They used to have a lemon seitan on the menu that was the best in town--it's only served now as a special.

Having been a customer for over 10 years due to the veggie food - I have been dismayed by the abysmal decline in service over the past 3 years.
I had to get up and grab the water pitcher to refill 3 times during our meal. I also had to steal napkins from neighboring tables.
Why would one seat a pair of mothers with two squalling infants in an empty dining room next to a 5 top of business people?
This isnt a training issue - it is a reprehensible lack of leadership from the top. If you hire people who cant think for themselves, why bother training them?
David - who owns Blind Faith - you better come back and see what is going on. Even your hardcore constituency is being turned off by the cavalier and degenerate service attitude.

I love the food at Blind Faith which is good because the service is average at best. The waiters pretty much ignore you except to take your order and your money.
