We go to Greek town about twice a year to meet friends (10-16 people)from all over the country who fly in for Bears games. The staff is always extremely friendly & helpful. The staff actually take pride in their work , which is something you don't see often these days. The food is always fabulous & authentic. We've tried almost every dish over the years & have NEVER been disappointed. I think the people who are complaining here are either competetors or just don't know anything about what real Greek food is supposed to taste like. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Roditys for casual atmosphere, great food, awesome service & FREE parking in the city.

I have been all over the world and I like the food , service and a good chat with other patrons. Specials every day, happy people work there. This is the place where greeks and restauranteurs go to.

A while ago I was browsing variuos reviews of Greek restaurants to pick one and try something new. My choice ended up with Roditys, advertised as most authentic restaurant in the Greektown. Quite a disapointment, I must say. The gyros that was higly recommended by the host right at the door as homemade was salty and dripping greasy. Furthermore, the same gentleman seemed extremely unhappy with our complaint, telling in a rude manner that "we sell a lot of these and nobody complains". We had other meals that were not outstanding at all, except for a flaming saganaki that was quite entertaing all over the place. I am not a gurmet judge of Greek food, however, I would definitely choose another restaurant next time

Our group had dinner at Rodity's last night and I must say it is not what I was told or expected. The lamb chops were verry tough. The gyros were bland and mousaka was way to watery. We were very dissapointed. The desserts were O.K. but still not worth the trip.

Went to Roditys with friends last Friday night. I had the Mediterranean Sea Bass with Xorta ( dandelion greens) with lemon and olive oil. My friends had the Lamb Chops, which they ate down to the bone. Roditys has been around for a long time they know what they're doing, good food and good service. Keep it up guys.

Went to Roditys because I was told it was the best. Had the gyros but the taste was almost sour. Braised lamd was over cooked, had to wait for another one. If you want to eat in Greektown go to Greek Islands or for casual have a burger at Spectrum.

If you want good greek food ( chops, chicken, fish, gyros etc) at a reasonable price, this is the place. They even offer free parking.
Report This ReviewThis place is awesome. My friend Bob and I go all the time. Some people say it's not the best (LEO) but it truly is. Best gyro plate ever, and the service is great. Heck of alot better than over priced greek islands.
Report This ReviewI had a family dinner at Roditys this past Friday night. There were 10 of us. we had braised lamb that was too salty; gyros that had no taste; greek chicken that was to hard and mousaka that was too watery. The desserts however were O.K. It was my idea to go there. What a MISTAKE.
