After hearing about this place from two seperate people and readng the past reviews, I tried this on a Friday night. We got there early, so an outside table was secured quite easily. If you don't like watching drunk yuppies stumble out of Glascott's or standing there smoking while you eat, choose an outside table farther away from the corner of Webster & Halsted. The food, OUTSTANDING! Ihad the Kalamata Chicken, which is really Grecian Chicken..no olives, just fantastic chicken with crsipy skin. The waitress also recommended the steak done the same way, which I was tempted to order as take-away as the chicken was that good! I will definitely go back, I saw the feta burger and it looked great. No liquor, but you can order at Glascott's and bring to the table or perhaps the Glascott's waitress will come out. Prices are very reasonable, cannot recommend this place enough.

This is a neighborhood favorite. I cannot say enough good things about the feta burger on pita with greek fries. It is ALWAYS good. The service is friendly and efficient. My only knock would be the wait time for a drink in the bar section when it's crowded. But even when my husband brought the drinks back to our table-it was a delicious vocka tonic with lime juice, so I won't even say it is a complaint. Do yourself a favor and order drinks first, then get a table.

I was told by a friend to try it out, and I was extremely impressed. The food was fresh and tasty, while the service was nice and quick. The pricing is very fair for the area. I had the Alexandros style steak, which was amazing with that sause that its in. I am not a very easy customer to please, but they seemed to please me very well. I plan to go back again as soon as I am back in the area.

After hearing so much hype about the Athenian room, I walked to the place and ordered the gyro dinner, I mean what better judge of good Greek food than a goat and lamb pita hoagie? The food came out quick, yeah, but how long does it take to cut off strips of meat and put onto a plate? The room was loud, and took some 15 mins to get service which was ridiculous for a restaurant of this size (or lack thereof). The food came out and was barely warm, the "greek" fries were soggy and obviously not made in house. Yeah its cheap, but even for the some 7.50 I paid for the meal I could have enjoyed a better gyro at a seven-eleven. Just another landmark restaurant that doesn't need good food to bring people in.....disappointing.

We have been eating here for many years. The greek hamburger with feta cheese and tzatziki on pita with greek fries keeps us coming back. It is unbelievable, always juicy and flavorful. You can start off with a drink at Glascott's bar with the vintage atmosphere that is great. You will never be disappointed.....

You don't have to be a fan of Greek food to love this place. The chicken kalamata, gyros and athenian steak are excellent...and oh, the Greek fries!! The atmosphere is very casual and relaxing, a great place to come with friends when you simply want good food.

this place is fantastic. the food is so incredible and fresh, even my dad who has something bad to say about everything loved everything he ate (and we pretty much had everything on the menu for our large family). he raved for days about the kalamata chicken and greek fries! and the portions and sides are very generous. i love taking my parents here and they love coming. lots of kiddies around, so if you're not into that, skip this place. it is family run and you are treated like family. only downfall is it is not byob, but i suppose that reflects the wholesome family atmosphere. there is a bar next door if you really need to drink. but if you're looking for good food and a place to take your whole entire family, this is the place. there is something for everyone.
Report This ReviewThis place was okay, but I won't be back. The food was decent for the price, but I have had far better gyros from many other places. I'd definitely recommend trying to sit outside during the summer as the restaurant was very warm and stuffy the day were there. The waitress was friendly but not very attentive, it took forever to get our check.
Report This ReviewLove this place. Some of the best Greek food I have had anywhere and reasonable too. Must try Kalamata Chicken, Feta Burger, and Taramosalata ( Greek Caviar) with their warm pitas. Great place esp. to sit outside
Report This ReviewI love this place. I have been coming here since I was a little kid and my sister and I use to split the burgers. My mom has been going since before we were born. Now I bring my kids and my daughter loves it and she is only 5 years old. I LOVE this restaurant. I will never stop going. All of the food I have had is exactly. I love the greek fries with extra sauce. Love the steak, chicken, burgers, gyros, and love the greek caviar.
