Ok, the food here is decent on par or slightly better than some of the other local delivery places. The problem is that you never know if what you order is actually going to arrive. At least 3 times now they have forgotten items, given me wrong items, or lost the order altogether. The last time I called to complain the manager blamed me and said I should have repeated myself. Won't be back.

SB seems like a good choice for a tasty, affordable lunch in Oak Park. The special lunch menu follows a familiar format: four entrees are offered in each category (fish, beef, pork, chicken, ...), and each meal includes soup, fried rice and an eggroll. The price? $4.25. The quality? Quite good! I had kung pao chicken: the meaty was tender and fresh, the flavor good. The hot & sour soup was tasty, as was the fried rice. The eggroll was crisp and not greasy. It’s a pleasant room, and the owners were cordial and attentive. This was my first visit, and I’m sure I’ll return...

Everything about the experience told me that it was going to be better than it was. The service was great. The ambiance was pretty good (table was a little sticky). The food smelled great. Unfortunately it was very average. The food was almost tasteless. It had a little sweetness, a little very sparing amount of heat, and almost nothing notable whatsoever. I was very disappointed. The worst part was the lack of heat. If you like szechuan food, you like spicy food and this was not spicy at all. For good szechuan food (real szechuan food) go to chinatown or downers grove and go to LAO SZE CHUAN. Lao Sze Chuan is awsome and this place is not even good. Too bad since i only live a couple of minutes away from this joint. (insert frowney face here)

This by far my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Chicago area. Their food is amazing, and the service is quick, friendly, and polite. I especially enjoy their orange chicken, and as a previous reviewer noted, their fried rice is wonderful.
While you can find pricier Chinese restaurants (Szechwan East downtown to name one), you would be hard pressed to find a better value/quality ratio.
The restaurant is slightly unusual; they have a glass wall that extends about halfway along the dinning area revealing the kitchen. While I like to know my food is prepared sanitarily, and it is interesting to watch the cooks jostle food in giant woks, the wall also allows a lot of heat to enter the dinning area. I found it a little warm.
Well worth the extra if you¿re looking for excellent Chinese!
Report This ReviewThis is my family's favorite restaurant in Oak Park - and it's pretty hard pleasing a five and seven year old! Their favorite is the beef satay. The food is always delicious, and the service is friendly. Prices are very reasonable. And after dinner it's always fun to go to the back room and count all the fish in the gigantic tank!
Report This ReviewThis is the best Chinese food in the Oak Park area BAR NONE. You do pay more than the typical Chinese joint but the food is MUCH better. The owner and his family are very eager to please. I don't quite get the glass walled kitchen but I almost always carry out.
Report This ReviewWe love this place. The food is absolutly wonderful. The only thing we don't care for are the pot stickers, not great.
The egg rolls are less than average also.
The entrees are the best though. You must try the fried rice, best around
