Satay

I almost don't want to give the secret away but this cute spot so close to the diversey brown line is amazing. A byob with no corckage fee! Great food, good service, and very reasonable prices. I would totally recommend this place and they have carry out/ delivery! Not thai/ sushi by candlelight but a bright upbeat atmosphere good for a group of friends and a fun date.

I live about 2 blocks from Satay, and have tried all the thai restaurants in the area. the food at satay is excellent and seems to be of really good quality. they don't skimp on the chicken in their entrees, and the curry dishes in particular are really good. the noodle dishes and the sushi isn't bad either. the quantities are also the biggest i've seen around here - it's usually enough for a 2-3 meals. here's a tip - order extra rice with the curry dishes.

We live 1 block away. I picked up my food and when I got home, I realized they had forgotten part of the order. I immediately called them and told them the problem. They said, "I'm sorry. I'll have someone bring it right over." 35 minutes later after we had already finished eating, someone had finally managed to make it the entire ONE BLOCK to drop off the rest of the food. They informed me that management was kind enough to wave the delivery charge, but I was still responsible for the $4 for the side dish. DELIVERY CHARGE?! I said no thanks and they could not have been ruder. With all of the Asian restaurants in the neighborhood why would anyone possibly go here?

I love this restaurant and I've never actually eaten there but have ordered take-out on numerous occasions. It isn't too pricey, yet the food is so flavorfull! Here are my recommendations: Yellow Roti Appetizer, crab rangoon, and satay. The noodles are great too. I would stick with the Thai entrees and skip the sushi rolls.
Report This ReviewAbove-average Thai. Average sushi. Cannot speak for the Chinese. Great service will bring me back, however. The owners here know that service counts for a lot in a city with endless asian options. Very large portions as well, which is big plus for takeout.
Report This ReviewThis restaurant has a great hidden back room that is PERFECT for parties. I want this place to do well, otherwise I wouldn't share this secret.
