They recently remodeled, which offers a warm, cozy dining experience. Food is excellent. Entrees include soup or salad, potato or rice, vegetables. My favorites are the white fish and duck. A great deal.
Don't be deterred by others who say only the elderly eat here. Instead, learn by their wisdom of a fine dining spot.

Yes, EBC is a little hidden away, but the restaurant is a great find. We last formally dined there at a New Years Eve party. Parking was only 3 bucks with validation and the attendant will even wash your car while you dine (for a fee). The EBC staff was casual but very attentive and friendly. The Chilean Sea Bass on bed of spinach and escargot was excellent and I wish I have some of it in front of me now... EBC is currently being renovated as we speak and will reopen Easter weekend 2007. We can't wait to go back and have some seafood after it reopens.

Family owned and run business. It definitely had a spectacular atmosphere with the escargot (as an appetizer) being the best in the city. I would recommend the duck with apple as your entree, and top off the evening with their fabulous selection of desserts.

It's great food and wonderful service in what-appears-to-be a secret little alcove. It really isn't what you'd expect, but it's a very nice, intimate date place.

Don't be fooled--this place is like walking into the geriatric blue plate special. Although one of the meals we ordered was good (shrimp with mustard sauce) the other (shrimp tempura special of the night) was bland. Service was slow, although friendly. The piano was a nice touch, although the mini sing along tarnished it a bit. The guests over 60 appeared to have a good time. It just wasn't what we expected from the other reviews.

Great escargot - even though I don't like seafood. Awesome duck with apple slices. Everyone MUST try the ice cream with homemade chocolate suace. Absolutely amazing! The decor and atmosphere is very intimate and the staff makes you feel at home. Truly a must try place in Edgewater!

The food was amazing, as was the service! I got the beef tournedos and my companion got the shrimp in mustard and burgundy sauce...the rice and potato sides were excellent as well. Service was very attentive yet down to earth. The place could use some updating BUT I'd rather have a good meal at a good price than have ambience. Well worth it.

A delightful Saturday night experience. Parking was easy/ inexpensive, no wait to be seated, excellent live piano. Classic environment, friendly and warm. Wait staff exceptionally responsive to my special needs. Management was gracious.
