Bistro 110: User Reviews

I had a bad experience with the host. I found them very rude. I'd like to relax in a warm welcoming place when I go out to eat. But they were not really polite there. They made me and my wife uncomfortable. Why?
You will be disappointed if you think it is a classy, high-end restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it at all. There are other greater restaurants in that area where you would be welcomed and respected.

Service performance is poor, and management supports their servers. The price of the food should cover the quality of the food, the service and the total experience. This restaurant is a hit and miss, depending on the crowd and server. I had a friend looking forward to dining here for awhile, and when I treated her, I was embarrassed. The servers rushed ran around like chickens, and avoided any eye contact. For those who love the French dining experience, this is bizzare. Can coffee take 30 minutes and several requests...

My husband and I have dined at this bistro several times. The food was very good every single time, but the service is inconsistent. Our waitress was absolutely USELESS. The busboy attended to us more than she did. We tried to tip him separately to show our appreciation, but he refused.
Anyways, the scallops w/ polenta is excellent. Cooked to perfection! The duck is also excellent!

I took the family there for my mother's 50th b-day. They greeted my mother with her own birthday menu with her name on it. The service was great. the cost was just right. The food was awesome!! I had a beef wellington for the first time and it was done to perfection!! Its cozy but yet elegant place.. Will go back...

Personally i like this place a lot, esspecially since they have Foie Gras back on the menu. I was there the other night and the Duck Ravioli was awasome!
Some of these reviews really make me laugh! Complaints about no vegetarian options? Why would you go to a French Bistro and expect vegetarian options? That's like going to a sushi place and saying " I'll have a Pizza.. What do you mean you don't have Pizza? it's 2008!" The base of most French Bistro fare is butter, cream and some sort of animal parts cooked deliciously.
You want vegetarian check out the Green Zebra.
You definitly pay for the location here, but they put out some very nice Bistro fare. I stick with whatever's on special and some of the classics, Onion Soup, Artichoke and the Brulee.
The only real negative i can think of is that the outside needs a face lift.

The food was absolutely fabulous. We had the chicken crepes and the ravioli. The service, however, was mediocre. We waited almost 10 minutes to get our waiter's attention so he could bring us some bread. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were seated within five minutes, which is surprising given the location. Overall a great restaurant. I will go back despite the service because the food was superb.

We had brunch at the Bistro this Sunday and it was marvellous. The service was superb and food delicious. I am a very experienced Cajun and Creole cook and thouroughly approved of the fare. The gumbo was preparred with a lighter roux as befits a brunch/lunch menu, the crab cakes delicately seasoned and accompanied with refreshingly tart tomato sauce that offset the richness of the crab and hollandaise sauce. The apple tart (tatin) as good as anything I have had in Paris. My brunch companions and I highly recommend this restaurant and will return! The Prix Fixe menu was also very good value.

Total disappointment!!I had high expectations for a Jazz brunch. I was even entertaining a guest from out of town. The service was beyond poor. Our server had no recommendations for us and was extremely short with us as well. Our server was so rude that our guest left the restaurant infuriated and even addressed his behavior with the management. I have had better processed microwavable food than the food which was served to us.The only good thing I can say about the place is that they were efficiently able to accommodate such large influxes of tourists.

talk about a place resting on it's laurels...food is marginal, service fine but not worthy of $150 meal for 2. Wine list is sub par for expensive French Bistro. Avoid the throngs from burbs and go to NOMI for real dining experience.
