Fame da Lupo

Nearly as filling is the signature Fame da Lupo sandwich ($6), spread with lutenitza and piled with hunks of feta and thinly sliced lukanka, a pungent dry salami spiced with cumin and fenugreek. Less adventurous options include a veggie and cheese sandwich ($5.75) and a simple ham, egg and cheese ($5.25) version.

Though there's a candle flickering on every table in the 40-seat orange- and green-walled dining room, Fame da Lupo comes up a bit short on ambiance. Personable, chatty service and the BYOB policy make up for it, but carryout and delivery are good options too.
