A taste of Europe in Old Town, gourmet on the go...

Recently checked out newly opened spot The Brasserie's Market, located next door to Old Town Brasserie on Wells St. just north of Division. Enter this tiny French cafe storefront and experience wonderful aromas of freshly baked pasties - scones, chocolate croissants, baquettes, homemade sandwiches, various salads, meats, quiches, roasted half chicken, pates, cheeses and more. Also a plus, they offer several wines by the bottles at reasonable prices. The Market has lots of epicurean goodies, and Chef Andy Motto is behind the amazing fare here. Service is with a smile, and owner Bob always is there saying a friendly hello! This place is a neighborhood hidden gem and perfect for gourmet on the go, lunch, or dinner - and at value prices. Also, check out their special custom roasted blend of coffee, better and less expensive than Starbucks. Definitely worth a visit! Cheers, Hexter
