The croquettes here are the best I have had at a Cuban place so far, smokey with a bacon like flavor; the dip with them was tasty too. The Congri was very flavorful and the pork chunks were crispy and succulent. Cuban coffee is great, but you won't be able to sleep if you drink it too late, depending on your tolerance to coffee. This place is cash only so hit the ATM first. It's not fancy, but the food is delicioso (delicious).

Went there tonight. I had the steak sandwich it was $6 and my date had the grilled chicken plate it was about $11. the grilled chicken was alright but could be much better with some kind of salsa sauce, it was kinda bland, and the steak sandwich I had was terrible, it was just a loaf of bread with just a little bit of meat, nothing else, didnt taste good either. Just a small neighborhood place, worth checking out for once, other wise nothing secial, just another small latin restaurant. Oh, also, they jacked up the prices recently, man it used to be sooo much cheaper, used to taste better too..

I am the daughter of two cuban parents. I was raised eating cuban food. This restaurant makes me feel right at home. The food is amazing and worth going out of the way for. I love this restuarant it's by far my favorite place to go. If you want good food or be involved in a conversation check out this place!

When we saw this place full of Cubans eating, we knew it had to be good. My wife and I -originally from South America, were visiting Chicago when saw this place. The food was EXCELLENT. We tried fried pork and steak with onions, yummy!!!

I was surprised when I stopped there for lunch the other day. It was very small and at first I thought, "Oh, this is a mistake". However, when my
Croquette Sandwich came, it was the best I'd ever had. The tostones are
fresh, not the frozen kind and the yuca was so good. I'd recommend this place for lunch or a casual dinner.

The best Cuban tamales in the city! The owner is always on hand to make recommendations of his favorite dishes.

This place makes the best yuca I have ever had; so moist and delicious with generous heaps of garlic mojo. Anyway, service is sorta slow and seating is sparse, but the food is phenomenal. I don't think there is a better Cuban place around. Try the oxtail (rabo encendido), it's yummy.

My mouth waters when I think of their ropa vieja! Huge portions and a great value.

BYOB. The service is sorta slow, with one waitress, the owner's sister, also filling in as the person accepting payment, making coffee, and getting frustrated. Other than that, the food is great and cheap. The specials are usually fresh daily and their yuca is my favorite. Beware of 6-7 old Cuban men congregating on the side and bragging; it's hilarious and adds to the ambiance.
