Unfortunately - this cafe has stopped serving lunch. Only pastries and quiche remain. However, the coffee is very good.

It doesn't get much better than this! I work close to the Prairie Croissant, which makes me a very lucky person. I've been able to try almost everything on their menu and I've thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere - both indoors and out on the patio. The food at the Prairie Croissant is excellent. (I'm particularly fond of their flax muffins and the lentil soup - sandwiches are tasty too!) The organic fair trade coffee is delicious, and the lattes can't be beat. (Ask for a rose latte for something different!) You can also pick up some staples there - milk, butter, yogurt, etc. - if you're on your way home. And it's a great spot for meetings/groups/get togethers. This place is a gem. I don't know what I'd do without it!

Finally the feel of a European Cafe in the burbs

I have been a customer many times and I'm very impressed with this cafe. The people are nice and remember me (and my favorites) when I come in. The quality is outstanding and the baristas put genuine craftsmanship into every drink they make. They even do really impressive designs in the foam (of my latte) which reminds me how focused they are on making my drink exceptional.

The space is really inviting, but I usually like sitting outside. The outdoor chairs and tables aren't cheap and uncomfortable like some other places, and the seating faces a big sculpture/fountain surrounded by flowers.

Above all they're more committed to organic and fair trade than any place I've found, and that's how I found them in the first place. They care about every detail from the sugar to the coffee beans and eggs and veggies and cheeses and on and on. Outstanding!

Overall, they're quickly becoming my favorite place for lunch or meet friends for coffee in the morning.
