Trotter's To Go

Neighborhood: Lincoln Park
1337 W. Fullerton Ave.

Chicago, IL 60614
773-868-6510
Local culinary legend Charlie Trotter calls this gourmet takeout shop "an experiment" in translating his culinary philosophy into an accessible neighborhood place. The menu offers ready-to-eat dishes such as spit-roasted birds, slow-braised meats, noodle and grain salads and soups, created almost exclusively from organic ingredients. This will not, Trotter says, be a "precious, boutique-y shop," but "an urban, everyday place." The store will include a retail wine area and also will sell hard-to-find ingredients and tools for home cooking.
