Toast has become a reason for us to get up early on a Saturda morning to beat the rush and honestly the vegetable eggs benedict is the source of many a daydream on the weekday mornings between trips. It's very good and this may sound random- but they play the best music!

This is a favorite spot of mine, and when I am not swayed by a long wait, I go. Most of the time, our service is spectacular. The last time we went, (7/4), we had the worst WORST waitress. She was hungover, rude, unattentive and not so hygenic. But if you can avoid her, you'll be fine.

As an occaisional visitor to the Lincoln Park restaurant I was looking forward to visiting the Bucktown spot because I heard that one wouldn't smell like the grill upon leaving. There were three of us on a Sunday morning. We were served coffee and we could see the wait wouldn't be long. A small table for two opened up next to the window/door with people standing around it and we were told to sit there. There was no way we would fit so we asked for the next larger table. Then, three people got up from a table of four. Instead of seating us there, the greeter sat four people who arrived after us. We protested, but we were dismissed out of hand. We paid for our coffee and will never return. Obviously, squeezing an extra person in was more important to them.
