The Bongo Room
- Neighborhood: South Loop
- 1152 S. Wabash
- Chicago, IL 60605
- 312-291-0100
- Price range: $$ ($9-$15)
This South Loop sibling to the popular Wicker Park spot features the same breakfast and lunch fare as the original. Our faves include the breakfast burrito (cilantro-jalapeno tortilla filled with guacamole and scrambled eggs) and the Oreo cookie flapjacks. Made-to-order eggs and omelets always are available for breakfast traditionalists. Lunch offers sandwiches such as maple and mustard roasted pork loin and a crab club. Beware weekend waits. Though this location doesn't get quite as busy as Wicker Park, it's still wildly popular.
