Jerry Kleiner (Carnivale, Marche, Opera, Gioco) is behind this South Loop spot. The 6,000-square-foot South Loop space channels Al Capone as well as Chicago madams The Everleigh sisters as inspiration. The building is, after all, a former Capone brewery that garnered G-Man Eliot Ness his first big bust (workers even excavated hidden escape tunnels during the renovation). Kleiner goes for bordello chic---velvet everywhere (that includes an amazing red velvet cake on the menu), chandeliers, and plenty of leather seating and a vintage leopard oil painting.
