So I know I prolly don't need them...but they are the BEST cheese fries I have found yet! Fresh scallions, tomatoes, real ched chz, guac and jalepenos... can't beat it. Also, their Fiesta Salad is great!

This place was just what I needed to cure my NYE hangover (it also helped it was right around the corner). The food was great and everyone that came to our table was super friendly, which definitely surprised me being the day after New Year's. I'll definitely be back to try other things off the menu - I LOVED the fresh cut fries!

My sister and I frequently visit Rockwell's when we have lunch together on Sundays. There are several GREAT items on the menu, and when you're craving buffalo chicken strpis or fish tacos, this is the place to go! I don't have anything negative to say, but it's not my absolute favorite place to frequent.

My fiancee and I have been to Rockwell's a few times. While disappointed on our first couple visits, we wanted to give the restaurant a chance, given the number of favorable reviews. Our last visit, which will, consequently, be our LAST visit, was met with below average service and awful food. We both ordered burgers and when asked how we liked them cooked, we both responded 'medium.' The burgers came out raw. There was a charred crust, but the rest of the patty was red and cool to the touch. We sent the burgers back (mind you we asked for medium). Rockwell's serves their burgers cut into two, so our server should have noticed that they were grossly undercooked when they were brought out. The sandwiches were promptly returned (too promptly) after being placed on the grill for no more than 30 seconds and our sandwiches were reassembled. The burgers were still Raw... perhaps they could pass for medium rare... but when paying 9.50 for a cheeseburger, we expect to receive what we ordered. We expected that upon realizing that the burgers were not cooked properly, they would have taken the sandwiches back, and cooked up fresh burgers. Instead, they took the patties off the bread, grilled it briefly, and put the burger back together, the bun and toppings falling apart when it arrived back at the table. Our server apologized for the burgers being raw, but did not ensure that our food was cooked as ordered and allowed the sandwiches to be returned to the table in poor condition (still undercooked AND falling apart). Rockwell's should hire a cook who knows how to properly cook a burger. We are not talking rare here... we are talking raw, not cooked, unacceptable. Bottom line - don't bother with Rockwell's. That is unless you enjoy consuming raw ground beef.

I honestly can't believe no one has mentioned the cheese fries. Delicious hand-cut french-fries, real cheddar cheese, sprinkled with real bacon, scallions, and jalepenos for a tasty kick--comes with a rich ranch dipping sauce. Sound like a bit too much? It is. You won't eat a whole portion, but the bites you take will make you wish you could eat more. Besides the cheese fries, the best thing Rockwell's has going is consistency. I go to Rockwell's 7 or 8 times a year. I almost always get the cheese fries, but other than that I've never had the same thing twice: burgers, the southwestern egg roll appetizer, the tasty spinach salad. I've never been disappointed. The service is friendly. Nothing outstanding--but very pleasant. Ditto for the atmosphere. But the cheese fries...did I mention they were good?

My husband and I came in last night for dinner, to try Rockwell's for the first time. Not only was the food great, but our waiter Greg, was the best waiter we ever had. Friendly, attentive and offered great suggestions when we couldn't decide what we wanted to order. Really wonderful.
Report This ReviewVery solid, well-prepared food. Nothing fancy, but I've eaten there probably 10 times and have yet to have a dish I disliked. Love their burgers, fries, and fish tacos (VERY fresh). Nice smoke free environment. A very family-oriented place, so if you dislike kids stay away or perhaps come very late. Service always friendly and helpful. I might not travel across the city for Rockwells, but since it's right off the brown line it's convenient for many locations, delicious, and a friendly place for an after work drink or dinner.
Report This ReviewGreat neighborhood place. Fish tacos, chicken tortilla soup, french fries are highly recommended. Service is fantastic as well. After dinner a nice nightcap across the street at the Time Out Sports Bar is also recommended.
Report This ReviewWhile I am sure this is a great place to eat, I must have arrived at a bad time. Directly before I arrived a full basketball team of kids came in for a celebration. Our waitress said we could not be moved to the back room. Instead a friend and I had to yell at one another over a relaxing Saturday lunch. The burger's are supposed to be the best in town, but are not. Maybe with a full team of basketball players all ordering burgers overwhelmed the cook? I ordered my burger cooked medium, while a friend ordered well done. Both of our burgers came out exactly the same. The fries are good and there is decent beer selection. I assume this is a great place to eat; just watch out for basketball teams full of kids on Saturday afternoons.
