Maxwell's at the Club

For years, members of the pricey East Bank Club were the only ones allowed to eat at the exclusive (but rather generically named) The Restaurant, located inside the club. That changed in 2008, when The Restaurant morphed into Maxwell’s (the name is a tribute to the EBC's first executive director, Max Davidson), emerging a new look, a new menu—and a new dining policy that permits commoners to dine among the EBC’s high rollers. The contemporary American menu offers diet-friendly fare (bonus: nutritional info such as calories and carbs is posted), but there are also choices for the non calorie-obsessed. Expect selections such as chipotle-lime shrimp salad, broiled Lake Superior whitefish with almond butter sauce, baby-back ribs with fries and filet mignon topped with crabmeat and bearnaise sauce.
