This breakfast, lunch and dinner spot in the Doubletree Hotel celebrates flavors and dishes from America’s heartland, showcasing local, seasonal ingredients in contemporary takes on American classics such as fried green tomatoes, mac and cheese and meatloaf. Though the menu changes seasonally and highlights ingredients from local farms, executive chef Scott Walton doesn’t limit ingredients entirely to the Midwest. You’ll also find seafood and shellfish-focused entrees, mussels with fennel, leeks, orange and cream, and roast diver scallops with smoked cauliflower and pickled Asian pear. The California-heavy wine list favors small producers, with a smattering of other Old and New World selections rounding things out. The look of the place incorporates elements designed to evoke a rustic, rural feel, including a 14-seat wood communal table in the bar, a sepia-toned mural depicting a farm scene in the main dining room and lots more wood and earthy colors throughout.
