Little Branch Cafe
- Neighborhood: South Loop
- 1251 S. Prairie Ave.
- Chicago, IL 60605
- 312-360-0101
- Price range: $ (Under $9)
The aesthetic of this South Loop cafe was conceived by designer Kevin Heisner (Violet Hour, Bar DeVille, Empire Liquors), who sought to bring the outside in through natural wood stools and tables. The fare consists of salads, soups and sandwiches at lunch, and there’s a popular brunch on weekends. (Don’t miss the mascarpone-stuffed brioche French toast.) Feel free to settle in with your laptop and a frothy beverage from the counter and take advantage of the free WiFi—you won't be the only one tapping away in the crowd of college students and thirtysomething professionals. Done working for the day? Little Branch also serves beer, wine and cocktails.
