Where to start. Our wait staff did nothing to make us comfortable. No orange slice for the Blue Moon, took literally 1/2 and hour to get it, and the beer was warm by that time. She was inattentive, spent more time talking to the other staff, and came by at the end, appologizing (read - please give me a tip). The back room is boiling as the sun comes streaming in. When my wife wanted a Red Velvet cupcake, their signature dessert, they only had one. Prices were way too high for the food quality, making me wonder about past reviews. Barones is still the best bet and price for what you get in Glen Ellyn..and other supposed up-scale resturants rely too much on unsophisticated, yet wealthy customers to be happy with bad service, high prices, and semi-good food. Go to Barones, and have a great meal at Half the price. And teach you wait staff to earn their money, for gosh sakes. Dis satisfied.

Our group of six ate at Honey in Glen Ellyn last night and everyone had an excellent meal. We had a variety of dishes, and our favorites were the chicken soup, sweet potato fries, and passionfruit cheesecake. Our server was very helpful and gave us good advice on what to order, although I don't think we could have gone wrong with anything on the menu. My top three reasons to go back: 1) delicious, organic / local food, 2) really nice service, and 3) unique, casual atmosphere.

We came here for Mother's day breakfast. I had the eggs Benedict with crab meat..it was excellent. My husband had the mini variety pancakes they were so fluffy and tasty. i enjoyed eating here. The place could use better furniture..as they were kinda uncomfortable. I would highly recommend "HONey" it's a honey of a place!

Food choices are unique variations on traditional favorites, all with that touch of homemade care and love that only a one-of-a-kind, non chain establishment can provide. If this place was downtown Chicago it would be packed every hour of the day. As it is still largely undiscovered in Glen Ellyn, it is easy to get a table and fantastic service. Spread the word-Honey is a rare find. Support your local establishments!

We made our second trip to Honey last night for dinner. Our server, Drew, was great - very personable and friendly. Interesting choices, great execution, unique presentation, and happy kids! For some reason, getting Sprite in a can is a big hit with my 1st grader. The peanut butter cookie for dessert rocked!
Hony is now firmly on our list as a regular go-to spot!

My husband and I went to Honey's for brunch and were very delighted. Although I was expecting the setting to be a bit more formal and less like a deli turned into a restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the food. We had the french toast kabobs and eggs benedict with steak which was just mouth watering, the service was a bit slow, but the food made up for it. I was also surprised at the prices, I felt like we got a great deal for the price we paid, truely felt like a fine dining experience in a small suburban breakfast joint. Btw, the decor is also pleasant, huge paintings and bright lighting from big windows, which are great for people watching. All in all, this is a perfect place for a lazy Sunday brunch.

WOW is how I could put it if I only had one word, but since I have several I will use them all. The Atmosphere is very clean and a classy modern, and the food is like wise. Our waiter Clint was more than hospitable, bringing more than an accent from the south it was if he welcomed us into his home. He suggested the "Best Steak Sandwich" and "Honey's Amazing Fries" with some sort of spicy dipping sauce and oh my goodness it was mouth watering to say the least. This will most definitely be a place I visit often and tell all my friends about. The wait for food was a little long but why rush when your in a place as wonderful as that

there is a difference between over priced and expensive - this is insulting
7 bucks for bacon and eggs that come with one (1) piece of toast and two pieces of bacon - come on charge me 8 if you need to but give a proper portion. 13 bucks for 3 mini cheeseburgers and fries. the burgers were very dry and the fries blew - the so called creative menu is more mid 90s coffee house but what's worse is the lack of execution and violating cost. i need to take a shower now

I really was excited about a new place in downtown Glen Ellyn, but I was less than thrilled. I agree with the other posters, the food was just okay. And for those prices I expected different and out of this world, but it was just okay. I think that's the way to rate this place, its just okay and that would be fine, but they don't charge "okay" prices.

I have been to Honey 6 or 7 times in the past few months. While the first visit left a little to be desired regarding service, their food has been very consistently good each visit. I would also like to say that the last few visits, I have had no issues with service at all. They seemed to have worked out the 'kinks' in this area, which every new restaurant or business-in-general, deserves.
The Caprese Eggs Benedict is easily one of my favorite breakfast items of all time. Also, the Filet Mignon Benedict was perfectly prepared with about a 4-5 oz filet, caramelized onions, a light hollandaise sauce, and a delicious balsamic reduction drizzled over the entire dish. GREAT potatoes to go along with it too. At $12.95 for a grass-fed, organic filet, not a bad deal at all.
They also have some of the best coffee I've had in a long time. It is roasted by Metropolis coffee roasters in Chicago, a small independent roaster. Coffee is all free-trade/organic. Also, orange juice is fresh-squeezed and their Plum Honey tea is out of this world good (each cup is freshly brewed to order, so it takes a bit longer to get a cup, but is well worth it).
Baked goods are also great. The red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing are a great treat...very moist, rich and delicious.
We are VERY fortunate to have Honey in our downtown. The buzz is definitely out, as it keeps getting more crowded with each visit.
