Dino and Tom Bezanes, the brothers behind Printer's Row mainstay Standing Room Only (SRO Chicago), Andy Pappas of Norwood Park's Kouks Vintage Cafe and tea aficionado John Daley (yes, the Mayor's nephew) are behind this new South Loop tea spot.

Hi Tea carries over 50 teas, including bagged brands like Yorkshire Gold and YamaMoto Yama and a lineup of private label loose-leaf teas from Asia, Argentina and South Africa. Tea-haters can choose from fresh-squeezed juices, coffee and espresso drinks. Edibles include sandwiches roast beef with Gouda and grilled turkey with Gruyere, plus mac and cheese and a daily soup. Hi Tea also stocks for-sale collectables like vintage teapots and comic books, and Euro goods like Irish oatmeal and Scottish shortbread.
