This successful spinoff from the much-lauded Shawn McClain (Spring) offers an inventive, almost entirely vegetarian small-plate menu (a few chicken and fish dishes are thrown into the mix), making it among the city's most sophisticated spots. Its globally inspired menu, which changes frequently, may include options like Coconut Inside Out Roll with fresh-grated wasabi and yuzu citrus; Crispy Sweet Potato Dumplings with fresh water chestnuts and dandelion miso broth; or Parmesan Caraway Gnocchi with brussel sprouts, mustard and chanterelles. The sleek space, bathed in cool, crisp celery tones (appropriately enough) offers a model of hip adult dining.
