Clueless Hostess and Long Wait for Food

This is strictly a wine bar. I'm surprised that Feast put its name on this establishment, as Feast in Wicker Park is great; this place is still just a wine bar. I made a reservation on Open Table that was not honored and we waited 45 minutes at the bar. I had to find our tables, as the hostess was the most clueless person ever, with no experience. Then we ordered just salads as we had to leave by 9:00 pm. The salads took 1 hour and when they arrived, it was soaking wet, like it had either been steamed, or had been sitting in water and was just drained, there was no salad dressing on it. It was awful. I could not eat my salad. The wine is good, and the outside seating is good, but the people around us were just sitting there with their dogs, so its really a dog/wine bar. Don't eat there, just drink.

No need to return for breakfast

Worst coffee I ever had and that's 48 years including every rest stop on the NJ Turnpike. We all just have to get over the fact that Intelligensia coffee stinks. "Famous" Feast potatoes were cold as a stone even there were only two other people there at 9:30 am on Saturday. Omlette was ok.

Terrible service

I cannot in good conscience recommend this place due to the service. The food on the other hand was good - but as left over's. I was shocked as to how service was handled after some careful planning on my part.

My date had gotten tickets to a show and we decided to dine at Feast. My date was working until 6:15, but worked less than a block away. So in order, and to ensure, we would not be late to the show, we called Feast and inquired to them about a 6:15pm reservation and that we could be served and eat and be finished within 45 minutes. We were assured based upon the time and reservations they could accommodate us. They were wrong....very wrong.

I hate to and rarely ever write this, but I'd avoid the place and pick one of several other eateries nearby so as to avoid the terrible service.

Welcome addition

Better service than its previous incarnation as Cru. Food was pretty good; skirt steak was delicious. I hope that they either add a few specials to the dinner menu or change it once in a while as it is somewhat limited. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.
