I ordered the veggie burger with grilled asparagus. The asparagus was grilled and salted lightly to perfection, still maintatining its color and texture. The burger fell apart, but was still tasty. I ate my husband's fries which were delicious. The ambiance was intimate. We decided it was a good value and worth a second visit!

Food and atmosphere is painfully bland and boring, so not why one visits or lives in Logan Square. Wolfbait and B-Girls next door should take over and give wonderful Lula some friendly competition. Or Fleur-- a Fleur restaurant would be pretty great, I'd bet.

Also amusing that Dunlays seem to import all waitstaff from their home base in Lincoln Park; they have no common ground with the locals and it shows.

This place used to have a problem with service, but they seem to have read reviews on this site and fixed all that. We live in the hood and have been going since it's opened, being starved for good, neighborhood restaurants. I've been for brunch - you MUST try the fried egg sandwich with the hash brown potatoes - and dinner and just for drinks and have enjoyed all my meals. It's a nice, local casual place that you can go with friends or by yourself to read the paper or chat with the bartender.

This is a great dinner place. Every person I've brought in there (at least 10 people over the past year) has loved the food. Try their rice salad, chicken sandwhich, and beer cheese. Good wines available by the glass too. My only complaint is that occaisonally service can be maddeningly slow. I wish there were more places like this in Logan Square.

I've been coming to Dunlay's since it opened and I'm so glad it's in the neighborhood. The prices are reasonable and the service is unpretentious and efficient. I've never had anything less than a great meal here. Try the tilapia sandwich with a side of asparagus if you are looking for something healthy on the menu. You will not be disappointed!
