This classy American spot located inside the Hotel Blake on Printer's Row is currently undergoing a menu transition at the hands of chef Aaron Deal, who took the reins in late September. He's drawing on his classical training to craft what he calls an "upscale tavern" menu, which will retain some of the steak and braised meats Custom House previously was known for but incorporate a much broader range of entrees, including more seafood options. The main dining room will continue to offer a more refined dining experience, complete with a tasting menu option, but Deal's working on an accessbile lounge menu that will focus on smaller plates (while also retaining favorites such as the Custom House burger) you cna enjoy with a beer or a cocktail. Expect Deal's full menu to be in place by early to mid-November.
