Crust: User Reviews
Just because the food is organic doesnt mean it should go without taste. The only thing that had any real flavor was the bread pudding for dessert and the semi-organic wine. I'd pass on Crust in the future.

I had not been to Crust since last year, and i was amazed at the difference in my experience this time. The service staff was much friendlier and accommodating than on my previous visit and the room felt warmer and more inviting. The beer selection was killer, and the infused vodkas sounded good but i was sticking to beer that night. In all, a vast improvement over my last experience.

There are SO many better pizza plaees in Chicago. First of all, their $7 salads are basically bagged lettuce in the smallest portion sizes. The pizza was fair, ours was kinda soggy. This place was nothing to rave about...I would totally go elsewhere if you are looking for a good pie.

For a restaurant known for its pizza a it just wasn't that good. My pizza had little flavor and not much texture.

Our group visited over the summer and had a lovely experience. We revisited recently and were gravely disappointed.
Service was rude and argumentative. The food was not enough to compensate for mistreatment by waitstaff.
The organic angle is nice but money would be better spent buying a frozen organic pizza at Whole Foods.

I had heard from a variety of people to check out Crust... we went there on a Wednesday evening and were not completely impressed. The atmosphere could have been a little better and the decor was not very inviting. I am from Seattle and we had a place similar to this with flatbread pizza and it was simply done perfectly from the service to the food to the design of the restaurant. I think the bar was set a little too high for me, but in all the food was delicious. Probably not going to go back anytime soon. I wouldn't recommend it.

we came as a group of 10 & waited briefly for our table. As we were being seated, they mis-counted and 2 seats were missing. It was fixed, but two place settings missing & never provided. OK since its pizza. When my beer was done, waiter no-where in site. I never got asked if I wanted another one. Waiter showed back up about 20 minutes too late to ask if we wanted dessert...no, we just wanted to go because the service was below average.

This is one of the best pizza places in Chicago. The crust really is what makes it so much better than most other places. If you like thin crust pizza, this will become one of your favories after one visit.

I registered with MetroMix just so I could write a review for this place. The staff is pretty much comprised of angels; they were considerate of our rush (we had a train to catch) and made certain that the kitchen cooked our order immediately and quickly. Our five flat breads were ready in about fifteen minutes. The waitress we had took incredibly good care of us. That alone made our experience outstanding. On top of that, the food was amazing and the environment relaxing and refined. The only objection I could possibly have is that the food is pretty pricey.

I've been to Crust MANY times and I have had great food and great service EVERY time i've been there! I am glad I didn't let the bad reviews on here stop me from trying this place. Their Sun Salad is amazing, and their flatbreads always taste fresh. The ambiance is very inviting and comfortable. The wait staff is very observant and kind. I will be going here for a long time to come. I absolutely love this place.
