When the guys running Forty One North in Northbrook found out their landlord planned to tear down their building, they started hunting for a new home. In November 2007, they landed in downtown Highland Park and have started fresh with City Park Grill. The chic, exposed brick-filled space closely resembles the previous occupant, Metropolitan Cafe, serving many of the same American comfort food favorites as Forth One North. Favorites include horseradish-crusted salmon, cashew tilapia with Thai peanut sauce, and a half-roasted chicken served with herb broth, honey broth or barbecue style. Forty One North wasn't huge on steaks, but there's plenty of meat added to the menu here, including a 16-ounce bone-in ribeye, a veal chop and other hefty cuts. To drink, there's around 40 wines by the bottle and 20 by the glass.
