We went on Valentines day and had a wonderful suprise menu. A 14 course meal! The staff was friendly and curious on our take of each course. Food was brought out in a timely manner, and the schedule of delieveries with food type was orchestrated perfectally together. The flavors and presentation were out of this world and definately fall in line with the top french cuisine. We will definately be back again, and recommend this to our friends.

A HIDDEN GEM! You can't beat this value for lunch. I had 3 amazing courses, each one better than the next, and for only 15 bucks! I take my clients here often now. You have to make a reservation, but it is a unique experience and an incredible value.

Even though our server had no idea what she was doing...the GREAT food made up for it! I had the salmon while my froend had the roast chicken. We could not have asked for a better lunch! The salmon was cooked to perfection. The salad before the mwal was FANTASTIC! And the deserts were amazing! The presentation was awesome on all our courses. And who can beat a $15 3 course meal...no one! You HAVE to try this place!

We went for my cousin's birthday and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. The food was very good, and the presentations were incredible! Pretty good value, price-wise, and since it's BYOB we brought our own wine. It was a good time overall.

This place has a $25.00 4 course dinner. They seat everyone within the hour,so you will need to have reservations. The dining area is very plain, but it gets the job done. You have 2 choices for the entree/appitizer/dessert on the menu so you are not stuck with only one choice. When we went the entree was pork medallions or a chicken marsalla type pasta. The dessert was chocolate mousse or a apple pie type dessert. All of the food was outstanding. We will definetly be going back. Highly reccomendend if you want great food- not much of a enviornment though.

Fabulous food. We had the 3 course prix fixe lunch for $15. Innovative, beautifully presented, this meal would have cost over $50 anywhere else.

My friends and I used to love CHIC for lunch, and always kept in mind that it is a school so be prepared for gliches and whatnot, but our last experience was so awful we'll never return. We waited for almost two hours between the second and third courses, and rather than serve us, the wait staff served the same entrees we ordered to cooks/CHIC staff sitting in the cafe, not paying customers. We, instead, got a lot of (not very good) bread and weak apologies about the delay, such as the host blaming the students in the back. Pretty unprofessional and not very hospitable. Since it seems like with each visit the quality of the service declines, I doubt we'll return to what was once a favorite place. Too bad, b/c the food is interesting and it's a great idea.

I think CHIC is one of Chicago's hidden treasures! It is great to go on Sundays when they serve brunch because you can also hit the CHIC Farmer's Market. The market has everything from organic vegetables and gourmet cheeses to homemade salsa and a booth with some cool, trendy jewelry and purses. CHIC is a must-go!
