Gilbert Langlois, a veteran of many Chicago kitchens (SushiSamba Rio, Rushmore, The Room), is behind this cozy North Center restaurant. His seasonal contemporary American menu changes frequently; most offerings post on the restaurant's oversized chalkboard, but there's also a more traditional printed menu of mainstays. Expect fresh pasta dishes like ricotta- and herb-stuffed tortellini courtesy of Langlois' mom, Janet, and entrees such as braised Amish chicken. The comfortable dining room, done up in a soothing shade of green, is classically appointed with a bit of Victorian flair.
