Gilbert Langlois, a longtime Chicago kitchen veteran (Rushmore, The Room) is behind this cozy North Center restaurant. Langlois is offering a change frequently seasonal New American--most of the offerings will post on the restaurant's oversized chalkboards (there's also a more traditional printed menu of mainstays). Expect fresh pastas courtesy of his mom Janet (like ricotta-and-herb-stuffed tortellini), and rotating entrees like braised Amish chicken. As for the space, look for "a comfortable, classically antique Victorian" dining room with mirrors, chandeliers and banquettes, plus green touches like solar-powered address signage.
