Among our favorite byob's in the city. The food is always good and the menu changes often keeping things interested. A great inexpensive option

The food is tasty, hot, and creative. The food is priced reasonably and being it is BYOB, it is ideal for these times. I recommend the specials listed on the blackboards. The service could be better: you know the feeling you get when someone who comes in after you is getting more prompt service by the same server--and it was obvious they were friends with the server. And yep, you have to go through the kitchen to get to the bathroom, but it is a pretty small place after all.

Just dined there last night. Met the owner, "front of the house-turned-back of the house-turned-owner" kinda guy... The food is amazing, honestly...Simple but flavorful, everthing fits...start with the summer salad...the secret is fresh fruit tossed with warm roasted red peppers and crumbled goat cheese...next choose from the specials listed on the blackboard hanging from the back wall...always to include at least one meat , one pasta and one fish dish...I had pork stuff pablano peppers...amazing little heat to it even...my date had the chicken...grilled smoky flavor with roasted red peppers...we both cleaned our plate...Even more amazing is the price...generous, way too generous portions...you kinda feel guilty...$13 entrees that are on par with any three or four star places I have worked for for...speaking of service...bare bones...nothing flashy, nothing pretentious, just quick and efficient, lots of personality though...you just might see your server later that night at the Empty Bottle next door to the restaurant..and now for the kicker...BYOB... forget the wine? Just go next door to the Empty Bottle and pick up a bottle, a glass of wine, or a few beers...not sure of their selection though...So Check it out...

we were looking forward to our first taste of BITE but were sorely disappointed. the atmosphere was bare, dull and not so clean. service was friendly and somewhat helpful but nothing to write home about. we were most disturbed with our food. bland and lifeless most was brought to us cold. we won't be back.

1st time, last time...YUCK. Food: gross - literally had to spit in my napkin; Atmosphere: uncomfortable - and nasty kitchen/bathroom; Service: unfriendly (note: waitress didn't even bother to ask if there was something wrong with what I ordered as she cleared my full plate from the table; Value: cheap - you get what you pay for.
Report This ReviewI love bite! And the red-headed waitress is always sweet...and the food is fantastic...
Report This ReviewService is questionable - and the no ice in my water was a bit annoying, but all in all good food and a fun menu...I'll definitely go back
Report This ReviewI agree - service *IS* slow, but perfect for a Sunday morning when I'm not in a rush! Love the food - enjoy very much the eggs benedict! Great coffee! (no bloody marys to cure hangovers as they don't have a liquor license). I love this place!
Report This ReviewService was incredibly slow. We ordered chips + guacamole, which took 30 minutes. Our meals were delivered 10 minutes after the meals to the table next to us, who sat down 15 minutes after us. Server was unapologetic about the wait. On occasion, I am willing to put up with mediocore/slow service if the food warrants it, that is not the case here.
Report This Reviewcasual, easy place to hang out with friends. service is friendly & efficient. the food is fantastic. fresh, healthy ingredients and creatively prepared. seitan pastrami is top notch and the specials are almost always amazing. take your vegetarian friends here.
