Worth a splurge

I love the atmosphere at this place-- such a romantic and light experience. Our server was really knowledgeable about the menu and pairing options; he provided excellent service throughout the evening. The cheese, wine, and entrees were great! The only thing that didn't impress me was the desert. It was a bit pricey, but worth it. I will definitely be back!

I teach high school, I can tell if people are genuine and last friday night, in an extremely busy restaurant, my server took the time to go through the entire menu to find food that I could eat...and she didnt seem to mind at all. In fact, when i apologized for all of my food problems she said "I am in the business of making people happy" and she did! The wine was amazing and perfectly paired with the grilled shrimp. It came with a crispy rice cake that was so goooood! We skipped dessert because we were so full but we will be back. Bin is a great place to forget about the week's troubles, its loud, busy but doesnt make you feel rushed even if there are people lined out the door. If you go, ask for the girl with red hair, she is great.

The service and food were amazing. The service was alright, and the price for 5 dollar burgers on tuesday is fantastic for the taste of the food. The fries were also fabulous, the best my boyfriend and I have ever tasted. The ambiance was great, it was a nice cozy neighborhood spot. Will definitely be back.

A MUST GO!!!!

I have been to BIN Wine Cafe many times and every time I love it more. I go with with my boyfriend and my girlfriends and everytime we go, we have a wonderful time. I dont know what I enjoy more, the cheese or the wine, or the white pizza! Last week when I was there, I was seated and then treated to a glass of champagne on the house. What a perfect way to start a long day after work. The wine flights are really fun- try the Bubbles, or any one of the reds. The cheese is the BEST I've ever had and they introduce new cheeses to the menu all the time. Overall, I cannot say enough about this place! I know you will go and enjoy it very much!

Stick with the original Bin
By SA from CHICAGO, October 16, 2008

To begin there is no ambiance. Our server was good however we never got a correct drink that we ordered, 0 for 3 not very good. You must be kidding $21 for 3 scallops as an entree?????? Maybe a appetizer for $10. I have never felt like I wasted $100 on a meal(snack) for 2 people in Chicago like this. Why was the only thing I could taste on the pizza was salt? That was very odd. I will go to the original Bin 36 but never hear again

If you love quality food and wine, this is a great casual place to have a meal. Tasty appetizers, interesting cheese flights. Of course, tasty wines. Great brunch option too. The staff is very knowledgeable.

Great food and wine

This is my favorite restaurant in Wicker/Bucktown! The food is always really good and the wine flights are top notch. My wife and I went there for brunch for the first time and had a lot of fun trying their mimosa and bloody mary flights. I particularly liked the mexican bloody mary with tequila, but my wife thought it was a little weird. At dinner, I would suggest getting the Hanger steak or the ravioli cooked in brown butter. Yum!! It does get a little busy on weekends, so we make it our early in the week treat. It's definitely a different feel than their ultra-modern downtown establishment, Bin 36. Although I like bin 36 a lot, the Bin Wine Cafe is a bit more casual and hip. Kudos!!

Bad Bad Bad Bad

I think this place is extremely bad. I have been twice in this restaurant. First of all, the service was with a lazy attitude. We order a cheese platter that took 30 minutes to arrive and wine. Please, the portions were ridiculous. I have been workiing in the industry for 5 years and believe me to fire a cheese platter should not take more thatn 5 minutes, the service should check the table at least one time and see is everything is fine. I think if you want to enjoy a good wine with great cheese selection, Juice wine, tasting room or probably the new place over damen ave blue bird. Do not waste your money with this guys. The only good thing that they have is the location.

Bin there Done that

The food was great here, I had the Pulled Pork sandwich and I tried the White pizza, both were excellent. My friend got the ravioli, which looked great and she said was good, but it came with a tiny amount of past, which was disappointing considering the price. The service on the other hand was subpar. The place was not busy but yet it took them a good few minutes to seat us, the waitress was rather inattentive and wasn't too friendly. The bus boy was on his toes though.

A great experience and great value.

This restaurant represents what I love about Chicago. Great food at reasonable prices, served in a nice atmosphere, with outstanding service. Though I'd been to Bin 36 in the past, my wife and I tried Bin Wine for the first time on Saturday, and were very pleased. I had a very good Pulled Pork Sloppy Joe (I know, doesn't sound appetizing) that reminded me of some of the better smokehouses in the South, and my wife had the burger (I know, also boring sounding, but it was fantastic--one of the best in the city). The tempura fried green beans are like candy. Our server was also outstanding. I love the wine flights and the fact that you can buy your favorites on the way out. Great concept. This will now be one of our go-to restaurants.
