Overall rating:

A nice place for lunch or dinner. Some unique items on the menu (there is cantalop melon in the cole slaw...very tasty!). Parking can be a bit of a challenge, though.

Overall rating:

Benedict's is always a good choice for lunch or brunch, but especially brunch. They have so many takes on frittatas, stratas, omelets, french toast, pancakes, and eggs benedict that I always have trouble deciding what to order. Another thing I really like - if you order coffee they bring you a whole carafe of it - unlimited free refills. They have good mimosas and bloody marys as well. The place is clean and bright, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Also a nice little outdoor patio to sit when the weather is nice.

I have visited Benedicts Lastrata on numerous occasions already for breakfast and for lunch. I have been there with and without my kids and have always had a wonderful experience. Their menu is much more creative than other breakfast restaurants in the area. Everything we have eaten has been out of this world. Each server I have had has been so nice and helpful. I love the decorating and can't wait for the patio to open!

Just recently I took my family out to breakfast at this new restaurant in downtown crystal lake. I have to say, crystal lake has needed a place like this for as far as I can remember considering I've spent my whole life growing up in this town. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated at a very nice round table. Our waitress was friendly and the food was delicious. I had the breakfast tacos and my children ate off the generous kids menu. The best part for the kids was the cute little egg cookies they received for dessert. I loved my experience here and I recommend this family restaurant for anyone who is looking for a place to call home.

Overall rating:

Took family of four for breakfast. Extremely slow service.
Very unfriendly wait staff. Order was incorrect.
Many other better options in Crystal Lake area.
