Avenues is completely outclassed by those purportedly in its peer group: Moto and Alinea. It's clearly the "hotel restaurant" version, and it shows in the food, atmosphere, and service. The waitstaff actually forgot which tasting menu my guest had ordered mid-meal. I had to excuse myself from the table to get them back on course. No apologies were made. Save your money.

After everything I had heard about Avenues, I was slightly disappointed after I took my husband there for dinner. The decor is outdated, and the noise from the kitchen is distracting. Only one of our servers spoke English, and she was the best part about the night (aside from the food, which is the best in town!). Overall, the experience was less than desirable, but it may just have been an off-night and a new team...
