As restaurants go on the southside 94 west is the best. The steak that I had got was a bone in ribey it was mouth watering! The steak had come with a salad and a potato witch I thought was a great value. I also had got a keylime pie that was out of this world.I was at the restaurant on a first date I think the place made a great impresion on her. If u go 2 94 west ask for frank he was a great waiter.

I would not want you to spend your money in a restaurnat like this. The food flavor wise was great but unfortunately the services was poor!!!!. I do not want to say anything about the coordination with the meeting planner. I think the restaurant has a lot of potential. It is a very nice restaurant enviroment but they have to do some mayor service changes.

THIS PLACE IS INSULTING!!

Attention suburban food enthusiasts - if you crave a Chicago-like fine dining experience, you will not find what you are looking for at 94 West. If you cannot make it to one of the dozens of greats steakhouses in Chicago (or one of the few good ones that I've had in the burbs like Jennys on 111th or Louies on 95th), I suggest that you pocket most of what you would spend at this place and take the remainder to Outback Steakhouse a few miles due east (or McDonalds for that matter), where you will most certainly have a more enjoyable dinner. Its that bad folks, and the prices are completely insane for the quality of food that you are being served. The prices certainly come close to what one would spend at Mortons or Gibsons - but the food quality is painfully low and the place is staffed by what is clearly a group of amateurs.

You are greeted with an amuse bouche of pasta noodles that are literally dyed green and completely unappetizing. For those who care, there is some story in the menu about how these noodles are a tribute to the owners father's restaurant - whatever. I started with the calamari which was fried so poorly that the batter had settled under the calamari rings to form a greasy bed of mush. The Fillet (which I ordered medium rare, but received well done) was one of the most tasteless pieces of meat I have had in some time, and the accompanying mashed potatoes brought me back to my childhood lunches in the Chicago Public School system..

The staff were completely unprofessional and could not pronounce half of the items on the menu. This place's menu is essentially a cheap rip-off of Widfire (an excellent chain of Steakhouses in the Lettuce Entertain You family of restaurants). Worse than the menu, though, is the decor which is completely void of any sense of ingenuity and/or character. My suspicions about this place were validated when I learned from another disgruntled diner that night about the owner, an 'entrepreneur' who was weaned in the video rental and car wash businesses.

I am shocked that this place has done decent business for the past several years. Even in Orland Park, where it seems that every restaurant is filled to capacity on Friday and Saturday nights, this is completely unacceptable. I only recommend this place to those who would like to gain a greater appreciation of the fine dining establishments that they normally frequent, or will frequent in the future. At the cost of approx. $60 - $100 per person for a three course meal and a drink, however, its going to be a hard lesson learned.

We have been to this...

We have been to this restaurant at least 12 times. The filet mignon has always been perfect every single time. EVERY SINGLE TIME. We ask for it well done and we never have to have it sent back -- and they understand the concept of cooking without butterflying which dries out the meat. While pricey - expect to spend at least $100 for 2 people - the food is very, very good. Now, regarding the previous comments on the waitstaff - yes, there are two hostesses there that are always completely spilling out of their shirts and are rude as heck. They also have a problem with the vacumming and cleaning around people - they should not vacuum while customers are dining.

The Sunday bunch is frantastic. All of the food was great. Where can you get unlimited crab legs, shimp and champaign in Chicago?

Horriable!! This place is the reason that there are no good steak restaurant's on the south side. Our server was very rude and only wanted us to leave because we walked in the door late (9PM...that is late for the suburbs). Don't waste your time or money. PLEASE DON'T GO.

While the filet mingon was perfect, it was so not worth $28. Everything is ala cart so by the time you purchase your dinner it's every bit of $45.00. Calamari chewy, overcooked. would not go there again.

I must say, I agree with the other review. I think restaurant needs to start looking for another hostess - very unprofessional. While on the other hand the food was great and not disappointed at all. While this restaurant is a little pricey - the steak melts in your mouth. I would definitely dine here again minus the horrible hostess.

Had a terrible experience here....

Had a terrible experience here. From the teenage,gum-chewing hostess to the soup which arrived at the same moment as the entree, topped of by the busboy carrying boxes of bar empties through the dinning room. Way overpriced for the experience.Never going back! I don't mind paying a city price but I do expect a city experience with it
