My boyfriend and I went here because he got a $50 gift certificate from Marche across the street. We loved everything about this place! We made a reservation online, and were seated immediately when we got there. We oohed and aahed over the amazing decor for so long we forgot to look at the menus. There was a nice variety of items to choose from, including vegetarian. We ordered the fried artichokes and wilted green beans as apps, and a fish special and the mi ga ti (chicken curry noodle dish that would be a great vegetarian option if you get it without the chicken). All the food was great, and we especially liked trying some dishes we'd never had before. We loved the mixed of textures and flavors, and all the dishes were beautiful. They're large, too, so don't be scared to share! Our server was extremely knowledgeable, and the bus boy very attentive. I really don't think we could have asked for better service or a more interesting and artful overall experience. A great place to go on a date, with friends, or with out-of-towners!

We went to Red light because we had a $50 gift certificate from their promotion. The food was below average. I had the chicken curry and it was dry and bland. My husband had the Pad se eww (did I spell that right?) and he thought it was under-seasoned and overly-sweet. For what looks like a high-end restaurant, the food is not. The service was very slow. It took a long time to get drinks, food, even the bill. I would not recommend this restaurant.

After having been to RedLight for several occasions, last night we took our girlfreind for a birthday dinner. Everything tasted delicious and i loved the diverse menu. i had a hard time picking just one thing! Service was very freindly, ambience was beautiful, entree portions perfect. I think the appetizers however were enormous which is great if your sharing, but sort of wasteful if dining for two. i highly reccomend the salmon and substituting the noodles for the wasabi mashed potatoes- amazing!
My one issue however, was that i brought homeade cupcakes to the restaurant for my freind's birthday and the hostess said she would take them for me until we finished dinner. Then in the middle of eating she tapped me on the shoulder to let me know that there would be a $3 fee per person imposed for bringing a dessert! I didn't want to argue or question since i did not want to make a scene in front of the birthday girl, but i just don't understand how you could charge a cake fee for CUPCAKES?! They required no cutting, dishes, or candles (i had my own). anyway..i guess thats what happens when you go to a nice place-they assume you should be able to afford it. but again, the cupcakes cost less than $15 to make, yet we had to pay that much just to eat them!!
Aside from that, everythign was really nice, but plan to spend at least $55 per person and i would not reccomend this for a large group unless you plan on itemizing the bill!

We were driving by and saw this place and it looked like alot of fun so we stopped in and checked it out. Wilson was our server and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. We ordered the mango lobster wraps to start with and they were great. We then ordered the scallops and pork tenderloin and they were both excellent. The scallops were huge and with just the right amount of spice. We will definitely be coming back to eat here again.

I think they need to re-evaluate their prices. The food is okay, but buyer beware: you're paying for the ambience.

Well I must say that my last experiences to this highly acclaimed restaurant have been to say the least under par. I have been a regular diner there over the years and the once blazing super nova known as Red Light is merely a flickering candle, a far cry from their glory days. I can't complain about is the service, from the hosts to the bartenders, I always feel a genuine sincerity from the front of house staff. The one thing I do not appreciate is having my dinner interrupted by the ranting and outbursts from the chef. I understand that the restaurant being an open air kitchen doesn't allow the privacy of a back of house kitchen but come on, be professional. There's a time and a place for everything. Food prices up, quality on the downward slope, I won't be back that's for sure. What a shame.
