My husband and I have been to the Asian Bistro many times and have always loved everything that we have tried. The lunch specials come with so much food and are such a great deal! Their pad thai is great and crab rangoon keeps us coming back! The ambiance is very nice and we have always had great service. We have taken many people here when they are visiting us from out of town and have always gotten a great response! We love Asian Bistro!

A co-worker and I stumbled upon this place a couple of years ago. Now we go at least once a week for lunch. We both like spicy food and this place does spicy right. Its not like one of those restaurants where you ask for spicy and you can hardly taste any spicyness. The ingredients are all fresh and full of flavor. Wait staff and owners are very nice and knowledgeable. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

One of the best flavor in authentic Sichuan food, appetizer, green vegie, fish, meat, you name it...
I flew in from Houston on Sunday and my classmate took me here. I was a little suspicious initially, b/c I had heard that Chicago doesn't have many good Chinese restaurants. But this one is a true exception, so I came back again on Monday evening-spending $30 on Taxi and just by myself.
I've been to Flushing in NYC, LA, and lived in Philadelphia outskirts, and currently in Houston. I have to say the taste is one of the best (it's hard to pick who's the best among 2-3 others). But when you combine service, this one definitely is the best. Clean ambience, very friendly staff. The owner is a lady in mid 60s, very nice, well educated with clear head and great personality. Staff looks happy, which is not very usually seen in a Chinese restaurant; tables covered with disposable paper cover; floor, bathroon are both very clean.
First time my classmates made the order, incredible! Second time I tried a Tofu Fish- apart from two appetizers (Spicy Tenderoin, Spicy Cold Rice Cube or Chuan Bei Liang Fen). They were all too good, I just didn't want to finish them by myself. So I packed 3 boxes, will put them into my luggage and fly them back to my wife in Houston.

I have been to this restaurant dozens of times in last two years. Every experience has been great. All my guest (mostly Family and Friends) are in agreement with me. I say this because the food is always Fresh, Authentic and Roburst Flavors. I am a professional Chef and from my experience I can say that this place has maintained there standards and the chef is a true culinarian, who cooks from heart and it reflects in his dishes. The dishes have a very distinct taste and look to it. If you want spicy and hot believe me it will be HOT!!!!. I say this is the best because I have tried at least hundred chinese restaurants in last 20 years in this country. So far this is the best in Chicagolad area. I am just in love with this place. The ambiance is warm and suttle, the host/owner is very friendly and staff is courtious. It looks like that I am promoting this place but this is my opinion and I want this place to be here for ever. Thank You! Chef Jaggi

My experience started very good. The place was nice and the appetizers where amazing. Then came the entree and service. This place had one of the worst service I've experienced. I ordered the Vietnamese Pho and they had no basil or tamarin sauce. They put some cilantro as a replacement and it total killed the taste. We also ordered a few other dishes that where below average. For a great experience make the trip to Yu's in Schaumburg. As for Pho, Uptown in Chicago is the only place to get this the correct way.

These are the dishes that really stand out:
1. Ma-La Tofu flower (****HOT)- absolutely authentic
2. Meat Ball Soup - includes fish balls, very home made tast. Good alternative choice other than hot&sour soup or egg drop soups.
Try this restaurant if you are spicy food lover.
Asian Bistro is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area and one of the best I've had in the States . The food is authentic, everything on the menu is delicious, full of flavor, fresh, and staff is very nice and friendly. the only thing that makes me sad is they discontinued the spicy/sweet roasted peanuts that you used to get at the beginning of the meal. pls bring it back!! I still love Asian Bistro though.
