I found Tickies while working at the Howard Red Line station 2 years ago. There is alot more construction to be done and the tamales keep me going back. I have had the pork and chicken tamales, large portions of meet in both. I had a chicken tamale 3 weeks ago and there was a chickel leg inside! The conch(shell) fritter is very good and a little spicey. The conch here was better than the other across the street. The restaurant looks like your neighborhood burger place, with the booths and few stools. I have never been greeted without a smile. The value for taste and porportions cannot be touched.
