There's only one reason to go to Pupuseria El Salvador, and it's not the ambiance. It's the authentic Central American food prepared by chefs that hail straight from El Salvador. The delicious fare is hidden in the basement of a large building, served in a small room with just four tables and four barstool seats. Don't miss the pupusas (little cornmeal cakes stuffed with a variety of fillings, including pork, beans, zucchini and cheese). They're incredibly filling, and the price is right at less than $2 each. Other specialties include tamales, and for breakfast, eggs prepared the Salvadoran way.
