The jerk chicken is fantastic. Quantities are very generous, and simply delicious. Several menu items were unavailable that day, but everything that was ordered met my expectations.

Great authentic jerk chicken just like the one served by the locals in Jamaica. Ya Mon! Quick and friendly service. Conveniently located +5 minutes from the South Loop.

Really great food. The whiting was definetly a must-try. The greens, red bean and rice, and the wings were super yummy. The food was definetly worth the drive.

I went with some girls from work....before the Sox game....It was better than any Carribean food ever...I have frequented the Caribbean restaurants on the North side and the northern suburbs....THIS IS THE REAL DEAL....I thought I was in the Caribbean for real.

I had visited the J & R's on Ashland at 81st Street. Now since I've gone to the new "spot" on 36th & Indiana I prefer it...the seating is great the atmosphere is great and the food is better than I would have imagined.....I wasn't a big fan of the traditional jerk chicken but at J & R's the chef Roy Taylor has his own style which truly suits my palate......I wasn't a big seafood person either because I could only get it fried on the Southside...but now that I can have it grilled I really love it!!!!Check out J&R's you will love it!!
