Lagniappe Creole Cajun Joynt
- Neighborhood: Englewood/Auburn / Gresham

- Price range: $ (Under $9)
This Cajun and Creole eatery, which is named after the Louisiana French term that means "a little something extra" (like a baker's dozen), calls Auburn Gresham home (it's pronounced "lan-yap"). The storefront features shiny wood floors, an exposed beam ceiling and accents of exposed brick with seating for about 25 at high and low tables and a window ledge table, plus a few benches. The menu features "Big Easy" favorites like jambalaya, chicken Creole, etouffe (a thick stew) and red beans and rice, and "Bayou classics" include Cajun wings and waffles, gumbo and boudin (Cajun sausage stuffed with dirty rice). Don't come here if you're in a hurry – a hand-scrawled board near the register warns of a 12-15 minute wait, and even longer for specials (they make all the food fresh to order).
