Wildfire: User Reviews
The food is great! My husband had steak and I had scallops - both were perfectly cooked and good portions. The drinks were good but ridiculously expensive. I really loved the jazz feel of the restaurant. Although we had to wait a while for our seat - when we had a 9:30pm reservation, the people in the bar were fun to people watch. Have a few drinks before you go to avoid spending an arm and a leg.

Wildfire was packed on Monday night - popularity must be due to farily large portions and reasonably OK prices. The menu for a steak, chicken and ribs place is that same as would be found in dozens of places in town and in the suburbs.
Started with the Chop salad (for 2) - an above average dressing, and an above average price for lettuce + a bunch of differnt ingredients all chopped together. Entree was BBQ chicken and 1/2 slab of the baby back ribs. Lots of food on the plate - the chicken was moist and tasty but the rids were both of poor quality and flavorless. An little extra side of BBQ sauce to liven up the ribs did not help. The baby backs were a huge disappointment (deducted 1 Star from both food and overall user rating for the ribs - they were that bad). Service was reasonably attentive.
Wine by the glass is seriously overpriced - the flights seem like a better value, although $14+ for the great reds flight (although the wines are decent) is not a value.
Judging by the Monday night crowd, folks in the Schaumburg area give this place higher marks than me.

My favorite restaurant! I love that you can go dressed up or wearing jeans and not feel out of place. I get their petite crusted filets where you get three small steak filets and get to choose from different crusts. Crab stuffed shrimp or french onion soup as a starter is highly recommended. Staff is very knowledgable about the menu. Have had no problems with service or food.

I had my birthday dinner here the other day and although the food was delicious, the service terrible. They were very snotty about reservations and the waitress giggled and chatted in a corner most of the time and never asked us how we were doing. We had to flag her down in order to get any type of service. Instead of treating you like an important guest, you're treated like an inconvenience.
Report This ReviewFood was nothing special. Service was slow, even on a weeknight. This restaurant claims to have a 1940s motif, but it's like eating in any one of a hundred other after work hangouts. They dropped the ball on this one.
Report This ReviewMy crusted filet was ok. The horseradish flavor was a bit much toward the end. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I wouldn't go out of my way to try this restaurant. A little pricey. Perhaps someday we'd go back again.
Report This ReviewGreat food and incredible service. I'm a regular there. Just don't talk to Marcy a regular at the bar. She's gorgeous, but a head case and its not worth it, trust me I know.
Report This ReviewGreat food and great service, but avoid talking to a regular at the bar named Marcy from Pharmakon. She's gorgeous, but is psycho. She's not worth it. Trust me.
