I saw this place on the Food Netwood, Guy whatever his last name is. Yesterday, we went there after the Planaterium. My nephew said his burger tasted like they do at his school cafeteria. I ordered a rueben, it was disgusting. I'm not sure what this guy was on when he reviewed it. The food was terrible and it looked like they hadn't bought new silverware since they opened. YUCK !!!! I would never go back.

I had the WORST experience at the cafe - was ORDERED to sit at the counter. I'm an old fashioned kind of girl and was raised to understand Ladies don't sit at counters.

Brow beaten wait staff and mean spirited managment.

I will never eat at White Palace as long as I live. I had the worst waitress you could ever have in a restaurant. She was very rude and every question I had in regards to the food I wanted to order her response was I don't know. I finally found something to eat and when I wanted to make a change to my order I wasn't acknowledged. I told the cashier that I wanted to take off a drink and he asked me why didn't I ask the waitress. I would assume it would be ok for him to take it off since I would have to give him my money. I cancelled my order and walked out. You usually get good service if you go in the wee hours of the night but then again thats probably because the drunk people would probably be a little bit more snappy.

Last time I went, the service was horrible, food was horrible, I initially had odered the greek chicken, when it arrived it didnt look right, then I tasted a piece of the wing and it tasted old, when I got the attention of the waitress I was hesitantly trying to tell her to send the food back, she basically told me 'hurry up and order something else, i don't have time to be waisting" (in so many words). OH yeah! let's rewind to before I ordered I was asking about the things on the menu she was basically telling that everything was frozen when brought to the restaurant, eventhough the White Palace was on FOOD NETWORK "Diner, Drive-ins, and Dives" and they supposedly made alot of menu items by scratch daily, (the greek chicken being one of them). "OK Play real time." After re-ordering I chose get the barbeque brisket which had too much heavily seasoned sauce, that assaulted my taste buds and upset my stomach. Overall my two other guest and I didn't enjoy the food, but I gues you got to judge for yourself.

I went in on a Saturday morning alone and was told I could only sit at the counter, even though there were booths and tables open and noone waiting. A gentlemen who was finishing(alone in a booth) offered his table to the manager, who stated that noone else could sit alone in a booth because of the rush(again, noone was waiting). When I told him I would like support for my back, he advised me to call his supervisor. I decided to leave and spend my money where I could be comfortable.

Food is typical of a diner-style restaurant like "Johnny Rockets," and the prices are excellent. Food is greasy though, but you can choose from a multiple of sides (if they get it right). Service was poor and they messed up everything we requested.
