Great dogs for a great price

My girlfiend and i stopped in this little place right underneath flash Taco on a sunday afternoon for some much needed hotdogs after we got off the train. The hotdogs were very delicious made from 100 % whole beef . Buns were very fresh and soft, real chicago style style hotdogs. The price was very afforadble for a hot dog and fries. Very tiny but clean place with nice color paint covering the brick walls. I highly recomend this place to anyone looking for a good cheap meal going by N. Damen.

this place is the late night standard for food. it is always amusing to go when you are sober and observe/listen to the drunk people in line that are coming from the bucktown bars.

We went to this place last night after a recommendation from a friend after a late night. We were too starving to make it home. The line was roughly 10 people long and it took 5-10 minutes before we even moved one person up in line. There were two people working and one guy who left later to deliver. When we finally made it to the front of the line to order a cheeseburger, mini corn dog basket, and two hot dogs, it was about 25 minutes. Then another 15 until we got our uncomplicated order. Somehow we made it out of that place and into a cab with everything but the mini corn dogs. We were charged for them, but never got them. It was too horrible of an experience to go back and honestly, the burger was so huge, it was enough, but the inattentiveness to get a simple order correct was pretty poor. I would only go back if I was dying of hunger and the line was 1 or 2 people long, which isn't likely.

It's beyond me why anyone would eat here sober! If you're extremely drunk and need something that sticks to your ribs + quick + friendly sevice, this is your place. Other than that, it's not worth it!

I ordered 2 hot dogs last night with everything on them. The menu says that every hot dog comes with french fries. When I got home, I was very disappointed. They only put tomatoes, onion and a pickle on the hot dogs. NO MUSTARD! NO SPORT PEPPERS! Plus there was only one order of fries. These guys don't know what makes a good chicago hot dog and the service was terrible. I miss Wicker Dog...

Given the surfit of glowing reviews, it's possible we were there on an off night, but we had the worst fries ever. Really. They were grease-logged and soggy, yet somehow nearly raw on the inside. The only way they could have been worse is if they had filled a styrafoam cup with day-old fry oil, tossed some fries in, let it marinade for a day, and tols u to enjoy. Then again, the "enjoy" would be a huge improvement on the service...
